I have more tools in my bag to design software architecture. I can find problems at an earlier stage of an application. It helped us a lot in the transition from a monolithic application to a microservices application.

It was great to experience first-hand what the method can accomplish, and gather practical tips. I have used the method a few times since then, and it has proven to be a powerful collaborative visualisation tool for processes.

In the short term, it helped me understand why a ubiquitous language is so important and why, even as a developer, deeply understanding the business really matters. It immediately changed the way I look at discussions between business and technical people. The long-term impact is that I now have more confidence in my code and in my architectural choices. It also helped me coach others better, because I can clearly explain why certain choices are better than others in specific situations, instead of relying on personal preference or habits.

During an EventStorming session with a customer, we discovered that a concept they expected to be complex was actually very similar to an existing process. That insight changed the language we used and immediately simplified communication. I see this kind of shared understanding as a hugely valuable and long-lasting benefit.

I can now apply the knowledge with more confidence. I learned new techniques that are very helpful and that I can directly apply with my clients to solve their problems.

Short-term: better guard the line between business and technical decisions. Long-term: new methodology for solution design. Keep up the good work!

The workshops are enlightening and thought-provoking. They help me question and structure my own thinking, leading to a clearer understanding of the topics.

It really helped the team to understand what is required and what we are supposed to build, especially when used with EventStorming. My learnings significantly shortened the discovery phase.

The EventStorming training had the greatest impact on me. Since then, I have been using it occasionally on new projects. I invite developers and clients, and together we map out the processes that will be digitised on the wall. The developers appreciate the improved understanding of the overall scope.
